Many people are intimidated to try yoga, because they worry that they won’t be flexible enough or strong enough. Others have neurological deficits or physical limitations that they think will prevent them from doing a physical activity like yoga. But all you need to do yoga is a body, in any shape or form.

Trauma-Informed Yoga
We've all experienced trauma. Trauma doesn’t just affect the mind; it can also be held in the body. Trauma-informed yoga describes an approach to the practice that addresses the specific needs and symptoms of trauma survivors. Trauma-informed teaching means we assume that all our students have had some kind of trauma in their lives and that we teach in a way that offers a space for healing from trauma.

Somatic Yoga
A re-education of the nervous system through small, conscious movements to create healthier movement patterns. Essentially, building new muscle memory to help solve underlying issues. Yoga means to yoke or unite with the individual & universal consciousness. We learn how to sense, feel & connect to what's happening inside us so we can meet our needs moment to moment & take better care of ourselves overall.

Adaptive Yoga
Adaptive yoga is a style of yoga that considers all bodies and abilities. It’s accessible to everyone, and multiple variations are taught, allowing the poses to be adapted to specific needs and abilities. For example, chair yoga would be considered a form of adaptive yoga. Adaptive yoga is an umbrella term that can include yoga for specific conditions like multiple sclerosis, yoga for people with physical disabilities, or even yoga for older adults.

Sound Healing
Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses sound vibrations to support mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Sound healing provides an effective approach to address the stress, anxiety, and mood challenges common during recovery, helping individuals find calm and relaxation through therapeutic sound. Sound healing works by using sound vibrations to influence the body’s energy frequencies, promoting balance and relaxation. Specific sound waves shift the brain from high-stress states (beta waves) to more relaxed alpha and theta states, reducing mental tension and stabilizing emotions. Sound Healing is an enriching meditative practice.

Seasonal Gatherings
We don't heal in isolation; we heal in community. These seasonal gatherings invite us to deeply connect to ourselves while receiving ongoing relational support.
